Delhi Boy Chetan Kakkar Offered Rs 1.27 Crore From Google!

New Delhi: According to the reports, a Delhi student, Chetan Kakkar has made a new record for international placement for Delhi Technological University (DTU) by receiving an offer of Rs 1.27 crore approx ($1,90,000) per annum. Kakkar, who is a final year student of Information Technology department at Delhi Technical University, will join the Google office in California after completing his course in 2016. Delhi Technological University is one of the oldest Engineering colleges in India. It offers courses in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Master of Technology (M.Tech), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A). Kakkar is an alumnus of Springdales School, Pusa Road. He is currently pursuing his final year masters in Information Technology at Delhi Technical University. He got international placement for Delhi Technological University (DTU) by receiving an offer of Rs 1.27 crore approx ($1,90,000) per annum from Google, California.

He has broken the previous year record by Rs 34 lakhs. The highest offer made so far in DTU campus has been Rs 93 lakh.

“This was what I had been striving so far and I am excited to join Google,” said Kakkar.

Talking about Chetan’s family background. His mother, Rita Kakkar is in the faculty of chemistry department and his father, Subhash Kakkar is a teacher of management studies.
