CBSE NEET UG Results: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the NEET examination for admission into the undergraduate admission to the medical colleges across the country. This year, NEET UG exam was conducted on May 6, 2018. About 13 Lakh candidates appeared for the exam which was conducted in 10 languages at centres in 136 cities. As per the schedule is given by the Board, NEET 2018 results are released on 4 June on their official web portals cbseneet.nic.in, www.aipmt.nic.in.

The NEET which was held for admission to MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2018-19. The NEET 2018 was conducted for 65,000 MBBS and 25,000 BDS seats.

Apart from English and Hindi, CBSE held NEET in 10 languages, including Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Oriya and Kannada.

– State Government Quota Seats
– State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University

Candidates who clear NEET 2018 and score higher than the cut-offs will be eligible for admission to 95,000 undergraduate MBBS and BDS seats in all Government Medical Colleges, Private Medical Colleges, and Deemed Universities in the entire country.

  2. The homepage will be displayed.
  3. Click on CBSE NEET Result 2018 Link
  4. Enter your credentials (Roll Number and Date of Birth).
  5. Click on submit button.
  6. The results will display on the screen.
  7. Check the results.
  8. Download / Take a printout for further reference.

NEET Result 2018 Cut Off Marks

NEET 2018 Result Declared; Cut Off Lower Than Last Year

UR: 50th percentile (691 – 119) – 634,987 candidates

OBC: 40th percentile (118 – 96) – 54653 candidates

SC: 40th percentile (118 – 96) – 17209 candidates

ST: 40th percentile (118 – 96) – 7446 candidates

UR-PH: 45th percentile (118 – 107) – 205 candidates

OBC-PH: 40th percentile (106 – 96) – 104 candidates

SC-PH: 40th percentile (106 – 96) – 36 candidates

ST-PH: 40th percentile (106-96) – 12 candidates

The cut off for open category students this year is 691-119. The cut offs have dropped significantly from last year. This year the cut off has dropped by 12 marks for open category candidates. For reserved category candidates, the cut off was 107 in 2017 and has dropped by 11 marks.

634897 candidates have qualified in the open category. 13,26,725 students had registered for the exam out of which 5,80,648 were boys and 7,46,076 were girls.

The qualifying percentage for the unreserved category was 50 percent and the qualifying score as per qualification percentile (out of 720) was 131. For OBC/ SC/ ST category, it was 107 and the qualifying percentage was 40 percent (107 percentile). Similarly, for physically challenged, it was 118.

NEET UG Counselling 2018

The authorities will then invite applications for counselling based on which they will draw a merit list of the candidates. The candidates who clear this round can then apply to various medical schools across the country.

Merit list of CBSE NEET UG 2018 for 15% All India Quota will have as many candidates as the number of seats available in MBBS and BDS for this quota. A wait list prepared separately will have 4 times number of merit list. There will not be any category wise result sheet.

MCC / DGHS will conduct NEET UG 2018 Counselling for successful candidates under 15% AIQ using the NEET 2018 All India Rank. There will be separate counselling by states/universities/colleges for the rest of the seats.

For All India seats, qualified candidates would have to register on MCC website and lock their choices accordingly.

Authorities will verify eligibility criteria, self-declaration, and go through other documents.

The 2 most important websites to get information on counselling are:-

  • Ministry of Health & Family Welfare- www.mohfw.nic.in
  • Medical Counselling Committee -www.mcc.nic.in.

The most important point is that counselling will be on basis of NEET UG 2018 Rank, and preferences filled by the candidate.

AII India Quota Rank will not be applicable for state counselling and the respective exam authorities would inform about the state cut-offs.

Reservation

  • SC candidates reservation is 15% seats.
  • ST candidates reservation is 7.5% seats.
  • OBC NCL candidates reservation is 27% seats.
  • PH candidates horizontal reservation is 3%.
