AP Capital Amaravathi Master Plan :

Singapore Government presents the Seed Capital Area (SCA) Master Plan for Andhra Pradesh’s new capital Amaravathi to The Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu. In a press conference he said ““The capital is not only for administrative purposes… it should be dynamic and also have economic activity. Singapore prepared the master plan according to what we have in our mind; by and large the master plan is okay.” The SCA Master Plan is for an area of 16.9 sq-kms and would be developed in 5 phases.

AP Capital Amaravathi Master Plan Highlights :

The SCA (Seed Capital Area) is planned for about 3 lakh residents. 7 lakh jobs are to be created in both private and public sectors.
The SCA (Seed Capital Area) giving more preference to the transport. It consist’s 12 Kms Metro Rail Network, 15 Kms of Bus Rapid Transit Service, 7 Kms of Downtown Road, 26 Kms of arterial roads and sub-arterial roads, 25 Kms is allocated for Non – motorised transport and 53 Kms of Collector Roads.
Large open green spaces have been planned in Seed Capital Area.
Waste-to-Energy methods will be implemented and it will help for safe and healthy city.
The Seed Capital Area consists various zones like residential townships, institutions, parks and gardens, recreational spaces etc.
