Bahubali 2 (Baahubali; The Conclusion) Movie Pre-Release Business

The first installment of “Bahubali” had minted over Rs. 150 crores before its release. Hence, there has been huge demand and competition for its theatrical rights of Baahubali second part.

The makers have already sold the theatrical rights of the Tamil Nadu region for Rs. 45 crore and talks are on to sell the Karnataka and Kerala rights for an equally impressive sum. Star India has already acquired the satellite rights of Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages.

“In its pre-release business, Baahubali 2 is likely to earn over Rs 200 crore for its producers from the sale of its distribution rights of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Karnataka, and the US. These are the all-time highest prices paid to the theatrical rights of any Indian language film for these areas,” says a trade expert from the industry.

Baahubali: The Conclusion’s Tamil and Malayalam satellite rights are said to be sold to Star Network for a whopping high price of 13 crores.

The rights are purchased by Sony TV for Rs 51 crores as per the update. It is the highest revenue generated by a dubbed movie till date.
