Bangalore Queer Film Festival 2016 (BQFF): The Bangalore Queer Film Festival is an annual LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) event that has been held in Bangalore, India since the year 2008. BQFF is an annual event full of queer films from the world over, photo exhibitions, art exhibitions, performances and panel discussions. The event carefully selects queer films from all over the world and brings them to an ever-growing Bangalore audience. The organisers are going to conduct the Queer Film Festival from Feb 25 – 28, 2016 at Alliance Francaise de Bangalore, 108, Thimmaiah Road, Opposite UNI Building, Vasant Nagar, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Bangalore Queer Film Festival 2016 (BQFF):

The four-day festival will include screenings of queer-themed movies, short films and documentaries from all over the world. So, you can expect everything from erotic and intense ones to animation and experimental films.

Special screenings of movies will be held at Alliance Française de Bangalore, including the award-winning “Laurence Anyways”, directed by Xavier Dolan, and “La Belle Saison”, directed by Catherine Corsini. Meanwhile, Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan will see a set of performances by 11 city artistes and an exhibition of photographs and illustrations of LGBTQ interest.

Documentaries from South India also include “Walking the Walk”, which is about the pride march in Hyderabad, and “That’s My Boy”, a movie about an individual named Sonu.

Another amazing movie you cannot miss at BQFF 2016 is “Tangerine”, which became popular worldwide for being short entirely on an iPhone 5.
