Globe Soccer Awards 2015 Winners List: Every year Globe Soccer organizes an official Gala Dinner. In this occasion the leading footballing names from all the continents attend the award ceremony which is broadcast live on many TV Networks. The seventh edition of the Globe Soccer Awards held in Dubai on Sunday (27 December, 2015). The awards recognise and honour the best services from the players and other members of the previous 12 months. In this year FC Barcelona won a total of four awards: Best Club, Best President, Best Player of the Year and Best Media Attraction in Football. The Argentina captain beat off competition from last year’s winner Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to be named Best Player of the Year. Lionel Messi received the Best Player of the Year award for a stellar season. The ‘little magician’ scored a total of 58 goals from 57 matches in all competitions last season for Barca and forged a memorable partnership with Neymar and Luis Suarez up front.

  1. Best Player of The Year – Argentina Lionel Messi (Barcelona)
  2. Best Agent of the Year – Portugal Jorge Mendes
  3. First Player Career Award – Italy Andrea Pirlo
  4. Second Player Career Award – England Frank Lampard
  5. Best Coach of the Year – Belgium Marc Wilmots (Belgium)
  6. Best Media Attraction in Football – Spain FC Barcelona
  7. Best Media Executive – Spain Javier Bordas
  8. Best Club of the Year – Spain FC Barcelona
  9. Best President of the Year – Spain Josep Maria Bartomeu (Barcelona)
  10. Best Referee of the Year – Uzbekistan Ravshan Irmatov
  11. Best Club Academy – Portugal SL Benfica
  12. Best Player in the GCC – Saudi Arabia Yasser Al-Shahrani (Al-Hilal)

Messi said that it is the team’s success that has made him what he is today. “It is very nice to receive these awards, but I always say that the group is what makes it possible,” the 28-year-old said at the awards night.

When asked about his most memorable personal moment of the calendar year, Messi said: “It is difficult to pick a single moment. It has been an extraordinary year and I’ll take the whole year that FC Barcelona had.”

Best Club President of the Year award winner Josep Maria Bartomeu said that the entire success of the club was due to the performances of Messi and his teammates. “With Messi and the other players life is easier. They keep playing better and better and hopefully that will continue well into the future,” he said.
