The government of Punjab had launched a scheme which provides a 3G smartphone with one year free 3G data and voice calls. This scheme was introduced by Punjab Chief minister Shri Captain Amrinder Singh and is only for Punjab Residents. The idea of giving free smartphones to Youth is to empower and make digital India.

Eligibility for Captain Smart Connect Scheme:

To be eligible for the Captain Smart Connect Scheme, an individual should be

Must be a resident of Punjab
Must belong to the age group of 18-35 years
Must have passed Class 10th
Must have a household income less than INR 6 lakhs a year

How to Get or Apply Online for Captain Smart Connect Free Smartphone

Online applications for the Captain Smart Connect Smartphone Scheme are being invited through the website captainsmartconnect.com. Any eligible candidate can apply for the free smartphone scheme by visiting the captainsmartconnect.com website and entering his/her details.

The last date for online applications for the scheme is 30th November, till 6:00 PM.

Step by Step Procedure to Apply Online for Free Smartphone Scheme

Visit captainsmartconnect.com by clicking the link.
Click on the register button.
Fill the required details in the application form such as Name, Father Name, DOB, Gender, Phone Number, E-Mail Address and District.
After filling the details, click the Register Now Button.
After clicking the register button, you will receive an OTP (One Time Password) on your mobile through SMS.
Enter the received OTP on next screen as below and click the Verify Button.
Once your mobile number is verified, you will receive a congratulations SMS along with your application ID.
You can also print the confirmation receipt from the next congratulations page.

How and When will I receive the smartphone?

The government will make give an official notification in the newspaper and will also receive and message on the registered mobile number and email ID with directions on how and where to claim the smartphone. The device will be distributed after 100 days of Captain’s government, and same will be mentioned in the newspaper.
