India’s Daughter Geetha Comes Home After Living 15 Years in Pakistan – Full Story Revealed

India’s Daughter Geetha Full Story : Just like the story of Bollywood film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, Geeta is a deaf-mute Indian national girl separated from India and accidentally crossed Indo-Pak border when she was at the age of 7 to 8 years old. At that time she was found sitting alone on the Samjhauta Express by Pakistani Rangers at the Lahore railway station. She was adopted by Bilquees Edhi of Pakistan’s one of the biggest social welfare organisation. After living over a decade in pakistan, The 23 years old Hindu deaf-mute girl Geetha had recognised her parents With the help of Indian and Pakistan High Commission. But the officials want her and their family lived at Saharsa in Bihar to undergo DNA tests to confirm. If DNA tests match she will be handed over to their family otherwise Geetha will be taken care by a good organisation till she meets her family. The result of the DNA test will be out in 15-20 days.

Today (25-October-2015) morning Geetha arrived New Delhi Airport via Pakistan International Airlines with 5 members of the Edhi family. She was received by senior diplomats of Pakistan High Commission at Indira Gandhi International airport. Geeta’s parents are overwhelmed and celebrations have already begun at home. Geeta had identified her father, siblings, and step-mother in a photograph that was sent to her by the Indian High Commission.

Geeta gets warm welcome from External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj at the Ministry of External Affairs.

Fahad Edhi of the Edhi Foundation said “She has been with us for so many years, she is like a family member and we would like her to stay with us. But obviously she wants to be in her country and with her real family,”

Janardhan Mahato who has been identified as Geetha’s father Said “I am very happy and back in the village it is just like Diwali. The atmosphere is festive,” and he is in very confident that she will surely pass the DNA Test.

On the request of Geetha the film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ will be dubbed into sign language.
