Ringing Bells Freedom 251: India’s cheapest smartphone will be released today (February 17, 2016) for just Rs 251 (less than $4) by Noida-based Ringing Bells Pvt. Ltd. Ringing Bells Freedom 251 is the cheapest smartphone in the world. The company is hosting a special launch event on Wednesday in Delhi, which will be presided over by Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and BJP Member of Parliament Murali Manohar Joshi. Ringing Bells has said that the phone comes with a one-year warranty and be serviced at over 650 centres across the country. It comes preloaded with a women’s safety app, and applications like Swachh Bharath, Fisherman, Farmer and Medical.
