Suzuki Intruder 150: Suzuki Motorcycles India is all set to launch its new 150cc cruiser motorcycle — the Intruder 150 — on Tuesday, November 7. The new Suzuki Intruder not just borrows its name from the bigger model but the design too is identical to the M1800R. It gets a 155cc, single-cylinder engine is carburetted, for now, and remains the same as the Gixxer. It makes 14 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. Design:

The design has been inspired by the bigger sibling, the Intruder M1800. The large headlamp, protruding shoulder line, fuel tank embellishment and beefier pillion grab rail add glitz to the Intruder 150. The design is a bit heavy in the 150cc segment. It remains to be seen whether these unusual characters be welcomed or booed.

Engine and transmission:

The 154.9cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine will develop 14.5bhp at 8,000rpm and peak torque of 14Nm at 6,000 rpm mated to a five-speed transmission. The company may tweak the figures to suit it for the cruiser biking style.

Headlamp, ABS, Exhaust, Disc Brakes & Suspension:

the Intruder will be loaded with LED projector headlamp, a single-channel ABS, chrome-finished twin exhaust, disc brake on both ends, telescopic suspension at the front and mono shock at the rear.

Coming to the rivals and the pricing, the Suzuki Intruder will be going straight up against the Bajaj Avenger Street 150. At present, there are no other 150 cc cruiser motorcycles in India. As far as pricing is concerned, our guess is that the Suzuki Intruder should be priced just under a lakh of rupees. In comparison, the Street 150 retails at ₹ 80,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
