Tamil Nadu By-Elections (Polls) 2016: The polling for three Tamil Nadu assembly constituencies — Thirupparankundram, Aravakkurichi, and Thanjavur began on Saturday, November 22, 2016. The counting of votes will be held on November 22. and the results will also be declared on the same date. Almost 7.54 lakh voters are expected to choose among the 81 candidates from the AIADMK, DMK, BJP and MDMK parties. The by-polls are being seen as the first real test for the BJP-led central government and its recent step in tackling black money.
