UPTET Result: The Uttar Pradesh basic education department is expected to release the results of Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) on December 15, 2017, on the board’s official website https://upbasiceduboard.gov.in/. Official website of UPTET 2017 showed technical glitches during admit card and answer key retrieval. Therefore candidates can expect a slow website soon after the declaration of the result.

Number of candidates:

A total of 10,09,347 candidates applied for the UPTET 2017 but only 9.76 lakh were allowed to sit. Of them, 3,49,192 for primary and 6,27,568 for upper primary had registered for the exam.

Extra marks for Shiksha Mitras:

As per the marking scheme of the exam, Shiksha Mitras will be given extra 2.5 marks for every year of experience they possess. This extra mark is not to exceed 25 marks in total.

The candidates for UPTET 2017 exam are also waiting for the release of UPTET merit list 2017. As per the guidelines set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), only those obtaining equal to or more than 60% marks (90 out of 150) will be declared TET qualified. These qualified candidates will form the UPTET merit list 2017, the merit list will be released by the Board.

For UPTET mark sheet 2017, the candidates will have to login to the official website upbasiceduboard.gov.in. The marksheet will carry the marks obtained by the candidates in the TET exam.

UPTET Result analysis – Past year trends and Expected result of 2017

During the last TET exam (December 2016) held in Uttar Pradesh, as much as 6,76,270 candidates appeared (including 2,21,654 in Paper 1 and 4,54,616 in Paper 2). Out of these, only 11.38 percent were declared pass as per UPTET results. Only some 25,226 candidates were declared qualified in Paper 1, apart from 50,138 candidates in Paper 2. Only 11 percent pass UPTET 2016 exam

Considering another UPTET exam held in February 2016, around 15 percent candidates qualified the exam. For the UPTET 2017 exam, the number of exam takers has increased significantly. With over 9.5 lakh candidates taking the exam this year, the actual pass percentage is expected to remain lower than 15 percent.
