Women’s Kabaddi Challenge (League) 2016: After the super success of Pro Kabaddi League, Star India, official broadcasters of the event in India, teamed up with the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) to start the first-ever women’s kabaddi league. This league will be played alongside men’s Pro Kabaddi League 2016. Total of three teams will be in action- Fire Birds, Ice Divas and Storm Queens. The teams will be led by Mamtha Poojari, Abhilasha Mhatre and Tejeswini Bai respectively. Women’s kabaddi will be played across multiple cities – Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur and Pune.
